The service

Plato estimates calories and macronutrients from a photo or text description and helps you track your meals and progress. Estimates are generated automatically and are approximate.

Plans and subscriptions

Plato offers a free tier and a paid subscription. The free tier lets you run up to 5 meal analyses per day. Plato Premium is an auto-renewable subscription billed monthly at approximately $4.99/month (or the local-currency equivalent shown in the App Store at the time of purchase), and unlocks unlimited analyses, cloud storage of your full meal history, and the personalized coach.

• Free: up to 5 analyses per day, at no cost.
• Plato Premium: auto-renewable monthly subscription, approximately $4.99/month or the local-currency equivalent shown in the App Store at purchase.
• Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase.
• The subscription auto-renews unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period; your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the end of the period.
• Manage or cancel your subscription anytime in your Apple ID account settings.
• Apple is the merchant of record for purchases made through the App Store; refunds are handled by Apple under its policies.

Acceptable use

You agree to use Plato only for lawful, personal purposes. You will not misuse the app, attempt to disrupt or reverse-engineer it, upload unlawful content, or use it in any way that infringes the rights of others.

Medical disclaimer

Plato is an informational tool. Its calorie and macro estimates are not medical, nutritional, or dietary advice, and are not a substitute for professional guidance. Do not rely on Plato to diagnose, treat, or manage any health condition. Consult a qualified professional before making decisions about your diet or health.

Intellectual property

Plato, its name, logo, software, and content are owned by CrawlSense and protected by law. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the app for personal use. Your meal data remains yours.

App Store terms (EULA)

Plato is licensed, not sold, to you for use only under Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement (the standard EULA), available at https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/ , except to the extent these Terms expand on it. The following Apple-required terms also apply:

• These Terms are concluded between you and CrawlSense only, and not with Apple. CrawlSense, not Apple, is solely responsible for Plato and its content.
• Apple has no obligation to furnish any maintenance or support services for Plato; CrawlSense is solely responsible for support, which you can reach at support@crawlsense.ai.
• Apple is not responsible for any product warranties, whether express or implied. In the event of any failure of Plato to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price (if any); to the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation with respect to Plato.
• Apple is not responsible for addressing any claims by you or any third party relating to Plato, including product-liability, regulatory, or intellectual-property claims; such claims are governed by these Terms and handled by CrawlSense.
• You represent that you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo or designated as a "terrorist supporting" country, and that you are not listed on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties, and you agree to comply with all applicable export-control laws.
• Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and, upon your acceptance, have the right (and are deemed to have accepted the right) to enforce these Terms against you.

Privacy

Your use of Plato is also governed by our Privacy Policy, available at /privacy, which explains what data we collect, how the AI analysis works, and the choices and rights you have.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Plato is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for decisions you make based on the app's estimates.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Spain, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, and subject to any mandatory consumer protections in your country of residence.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the app evolves. We will update the "Last updated" date and, for material changes, notify you in the app. Continued use after changes means you accept them.
